As „plate“ the materials are named, which are not suitable for offset printing.

A review from the perspective, Digi-Art, as a 3D specialist:

25 LPI 3D:

Extremely deep, brilliant! With this you can take pictures as deep as it is wide. This is definitely the material for 3D large formats. (Test with parallax 10 cm)

20 LPI 3D flip, animation:

Relatively limp 3D surely as good as comparable material. The wide angle (compared to the 25er) can be an advantage, so that the smaller depth can be taken under certain circumstances into account. But for smaller formats at close range the 3D performance is sufficient. Flips for larger distance should be on the lens work well (not tested). (Test with parallax 10 cm)

42 LPI plate 3D:

In the list of 3D materials the number 2 (after 25 LPI plate). Ideally suited for small and medium formats with expressive depth to e.g. 60 × 80 cm. (Test with parallax 5 cm are good sharpness, 10cm parallax comes because of insufficient printer resolution unfortunately blurred. It’s just a pretty fine lens.)

70 LPI plate 3D:

Better is the enemy of good. Consequently, recently this is the „material for all day“ , when it comes to 3D in smaller sizes (about to A4). Extremely transparent lens with gigantic 3D properties. With nearly 1mm thickness is more plate as a film. Therefore, unfortunately, unsuitable for offset, ideal but for inkjet printing with lamination. (We expect in the near future another 70 lens, which will also be offset suitable). In relation to the 62er delivers the 70er twice depth with better sharpness. (Test with parallax 2.5 cm)

75 LPI flip, animation 3D:

standard in offset printing. Inexpensive and can do everything. 3D is not particularly impressive, but for postcards and something similar ok. Earlier 😉 one has actually tried it, 50 × 70 cm printing 3D Poster. No wonder that went in the pants!

100 LPI film 3D (flip, animation):

The 100 LPI 3D film is about 0.6 mm thick and is so good at offset. For inkjet it is too fine. Our Offset partners print really convincing 3D and surprisingly also „sharp“ flips The bangs when “flipping“, from one phase to the other. Acually this lens is specially designed for 3D in formats up to A4 … no one would ever think to print flip it 😉
